Located in west central Connecticut, USA, Bantam Lake is the largest natural lake in this state. It is situated in Litchfield County, 30 miles (48 km) west of Hartford. It is 2.5 miles (4 km) long, and its area is 1,000 acres (405 hectares). Bantam Lake is a noted summer resort. The Bantam River enters the lake from the north and flows out to the northwest.
